Ryen's Rainy Day

Ryen did the umbrella project in preschool and painted the rainbow picture a couple months ago. (Most of my posts are going to be a little jumbled until I catch up!)

Portrait of Madelyn

This picture was made about two weeks ago. Comparing this picture to the one in the previous post, you can really tell Ryen has matured. I think this is such a great representation of Maddie. I love that she thought of putting a glittery foam flower in Maddie's hair and the strip to the right of her mouth representing Madelyn singing.

Flower Picker

Ry painted this when she was 3, but I'm trying to catch up. It's a picture of herself smiling in the rain with a flower on each side. Arms wide open, big smile on her face, flowers, purple... I'd say she nailed it. :)

Ryen actually made this last year in preschool, but I wanted to include it. She loves glue, that girl!

My Cyber Fridge

Ryen comes home from school with a lot of art. When she's not at school, she's at home... making art. She has created so many incredible things. I find myself never wanting to throw her masterpieces away. But, at the same time, I just can't justify hanging on to every little craft and doodle. My solution? This blog. I'm going to photograph Ryen's creations and proudly display them here... on my virtual refrigerator. In years to come, I think she and I will both really love being able to look back at all of the things she has made. And taking up cyberspace rather than closet space is a definite bonus too!
